Call the Medics...

There's been an avalanche...on the Avalanche. Yes, I've started off corny for my first blog in...months? How has it been that long? School school school work school. That has been my life for the past while - and I'm not complaining, at least I'm getting an education, right?

Yes sir.

Okay, back to business. Cryssy Canuck has been down and out for far too long, and it's about time I come back, guns a blazin' (I've always wanted to say that, teehee).

So, what have I missed. Okay, Canucks beat the Av's 3-2 in overtime on Saturday night - here is my extremely quick recap:

We started off playing like snails, but slow and steady wins the game: Raymond with one gorgeous goal, and two beauty goals from Higgy; one of them being the GWG in OT. Higgins was super modest about his overtime goal, stating that Jannik Hansen "deserves all the credit for that one". Thank you, Hansen - you Honey Badger, you.

If you haven't seen the Honey Badger clip on YouTube, I highly suggest you watch it. Like, right now:

Why is Hansen the Honey Badger anyways? I meant to write a blog about this a LONG time ago, but again, school took over. In short, Hansen doesn't give a s***, just like the Honey Badger. And if you witnessed his aggression during Saturday night's game, you will agree that Hansen is fully deserving of his title. Higgy would agree that without Hansen, that OT goal may not have been possible.

Regardless, the Canucks come out on top of the Av's. Literally, our boys are on top in our division as well (I just did a happy dance) and are champions of the Northwest division, yet again. Thank you, Derek Jory for your splendid article that has helped fill me in on every little detail.

Alright so here's the deal: the Canucks play the Los Angeles Kings Monday at 7:00 PM. They are in "must win" mode, which is bad news for them because we're not going to let that happen. Wishful thinking, okay? I kind of have a hate-hate relationship with the Kings, seeing as an ex bf was obsessed with them - and he was a bit of a tool. Therefore, I really despise this team and hope they do terrible in their division (take that, ex).

On a side note, Cryssy Canuck is back baby! Keep it locked here for all your news. School is winding down just enough that I have time to write my little heart out now - whether you like it or not. Mwahaha.

Much love,
Cryssy Canuck
